Refurbished E units were in the yard ready for the College Baseball World Series Run and the Denver Post CFD rodeo train. But sadly not much was said about the once mighty Challenger UP#3985 which apparently in the roundhouses west wall stall. The centennial 6936 was not seen in the vicinity

These statements were stated as well:

4014 is having parts refurbished and cylinders appear to be under some work but that is a big job so I would say it appears the concentration currently is 844 running by 2016 the 4014 restoration complete for 2019 and, 3985 who knows?

major work is under way especially on 844 is now just a 4-6-4 temporarily for the time being. Roundhouse was closed to the public I suppose to discourage the unauthorized souvenir seekers, as 844’s skin is being stored
